Key Responsibilities

1. Policy & Payroll Management

~ Review and refine HR policies to ensure alignment with the Employment Act and government regulations.

~ Oversee and verify crew payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement.

2. Training & Development

~ Develop, implement, and enhance HR policies and procedures in line with industry best practices.

~ Address employee feedback, resolve workplace concerns, and promote a positive work environment.

~ Track and analyze key HR metrics, including talent development, succession planning, and training effectiveness.

~ Drive continuous improvements in training programs to foster a self-directed learning culture.

~ Partner with key stakeholders to assess development needs and implement leadership and skill-building initiatives.

~ Monitor training budgets and evaluate the effectiveness of learning and development programs.

3. HR Crewing Operations

~ Support the planning and coordination of vessel crew changes to ensure smooth and efficient execution.

~ Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies in crew management.

~ Verify crew qualifications, documentation, and flag state certification.

~ Administer compensation, benefits, and medical matters for ship staff.

~ Manage end-to-end crew recruitment, from sourcing and interviewing to onboarding and exit processes.

~ Participate in annual crew budget planning and manpower cost optimization.

~ Oversee the cadet progression program, ensuring structured career growth for trainees.

4. General HR Responsibilities

~ Propose manpower budgets and headcount planning for approval.

~ Liaise with institutions for internship and cadetship programs, as well as job fair participation.

~ Review and recommend enhancements to company benefits.

~ Assist with any other HR-related tasks as directed by the Head of HR.

Requirements

~ Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

~ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables).

~ At least 2 years of experience in multinational crewing operations, with knowledge of STCW requirements and international crewing regulations.

~ Detail-oriented, proactive, and a team player with strong problem-solving skills.

~ Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure.

~ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service mindset, particularly in supporting crew members.
