Category Management (70%)

  • --As the Lead of the Categories, you will directly manage a team of -6 staff and provide indirect leadership to the Marketing Team supporting the growth of your categories.
  • --You will develop the Sales Plan for the Respective Categories to optimise Sales & Revenue Performance. This shall include the Merchant & Product Mix, Pricing Strategy, Sourcing Strategy, Promotion / Partnership Strategy and to work with the Marketing Lead to devise the respective Marketing & Communications Plans to support the Categories’ Growth.
  • --You will be supported closely by the Business Analytics Team to conduct regular competitive benchmarking and category performance analysis, to identify key sales drivers and detractors. You will take lead in merging the data insights with industry intelligence into action plans to improve business performance for the categories under your purview.
  • --You and your team will lead all prospecting of merchants and the resultant account management and partnerships. You will be supported by the Operations Team for onboarding and Marketing Team during sustenance.
  • --You will be accountable for the P&L for the Categories under purview, including ownership of various performance metrics including EBITDA, CM1/2/3/4.

Strategic Planning & New Business Development (30%)

  • --You will support the Business Head in developing the mid-term (3-5-Year) strategic growth plan, including leading / partaking in cross-disciplinary taskforces to trial new business development initiatives. In which, the role will embody end-to-end business planning and execution covering, market intelligence gathering, prospecting, operationalisation and business case projections.
  • --You will support the Business Head in annual Budgeting and workplan preparation, and monthly business performance review and management.
