– Develop and implement long-term brand strategies, identity, and positioning for both Oriental Merchant’s home brand product portfolio and corporate brand.
– Establish and execute marketing plans in collaboration with local category brand teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and budgetary constraints.
– Lead new product planning and development with the Corporate NPD team, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
– Brief and coordinate with creative agencies to conceptualise and produce corporate collaterals, e.g. environmental bags, premiums, company profile and business cards etc
– Manage new packaging designs, working with external agencies and liaising with corporate NPD and QA teams for artwork approval.
2. Corporate Communications & Digital Presence
– Manage Oriental Merchant’s corporate branding, including guidelines, corporate identity, and collaterals.
– Oversee corporate website content, including copywriting, home banners, and product updates, coordinating with IT and external web developers.
– Develop and manage content for company newsletters and corporate emails.
– Organize and oversee corporate video production from scripting to final editing.
– Prepare corporate decks for presentations to potential partners.
3. Stakeholder & Budget Management
– Establish A&P budgets for strategic brands, ensuring cost control and ROI tracking on a quarterly basis.
– Liaise with the corporate legal team regarding home brands’ trademark search and registration.
– Coordinate regional sales and marketing conferences.
– Develop and improve key processes such as A&P charging systems, SOPs, and reporting templates.
4. Market Insights & Research
– Provide key insights on customer behavior, food trends, and market development to support brand growth.
– Maintain and manage brand asset archives, including product images and logos.
5. Other Responsibilities
– Execute ad hoc marketing and branding projects as assigned.
Job Requirements:
– Degree in a related discipline with at least 5 years of experience in the FMCG industry.
– Proven track record in strategic brand management, including brand positioning, identity, and product portfolio planning.
– Hands-on experience in new product development (NPD) and packaging design processes.
– Expertise in developing and executing marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
– Strong proficiency in budget management and tracking.
– Experience in trademark search and registration is a plus.
– Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in an additional language is advantageous for liaising with clients, customers, and partners.
– A solid creative track record and portfolio.
– Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
– Strong project management and organizational skills.
– Experience in process improvement and system integration is a plus.
