Job Purpose
~ Responsible for servicing laundry customers,
~ Monitoring daily laundry operations to ensure hospitals have enough linen turnaround & linen quality fulfill hospital requirements
~ Supervise and train inmates on laundry operations
Major Duties and Responsibilities
~ Actively support laundry operations in meeting hospitals’ linen requirements like quality and delivery time.
~ Handle hospitals’ requirements and feedback.
~ Ensure a smooth daily laundry operation by maximizing laundry capacity to achieve daily target.
~ Liaise with other laundry officers to ensure hospitals’ requirements are met.
~ Work closely with Prisons to resolve issues faced by laundry.
~ Supervise inmates’ daily works and ensure linen quality meet hospital’s requirements. Training inmates on laundry operation and build-up their confidence on job.
~ To instil the right value attitude and mind set to inmate in order to change their habit, behaviour and change their life other than just train them on the technical skills.
~ To ensure Workplace Safety & Health regulations are adhered to.
~ To maximize production capacity, productivity and quality.
