The Job
The position holder is required to perform all accounts payable transactions. They will provide financial and administrative support by ensuring all invoices received are accurately recorded and all tasks are completed by the necessary deadlines.
What You Can Expect of the Job
~ You’re responsible for all Accounts Payable functions (Third Parties)
~ You’ll perform day to day AP transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording AP data.
~ You’ll manage vendor invoices by matching Purchase Orders, Delivery Orders and authorised approval.
~ You’ll maintain records of the invoice distribution list and forward invoices to all relevant departments.
~ You’ll prepare monthly journals and audit schedules.
~ You’ll maintain accurate records of fixed assets, including additions, disposals, transfers, and adjustments in compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, or applicable accounting standards.
~ You’ll reconcile fixed asset accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.
~ You’ll assist in posting monthly depreciation expenses in accordance with the organization's accounting policies.
~ Any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
