The Role:

As a Lab cum Data Entry Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring laboratory operations run smoothly by handling specimen processing and data entry. Your key responsibilities include:

  • .Checking and verifying specimens received from clinics/clients, ensuring accuracy with request forms.
  • .Carefully barcoding samples and request forms according to established laboratory protocols.
  • .Handling specimens safely, following bloodborne pathogen and safety guidelines, and using appropriate protective equipment.
  • .Preparing, processing, and packaging samples for testing and sending them to external laboratories.
  • .Operating lab equipment such as centrifuges for sample preparation.
  • .Assisting in maintaining laboratory cleanliness, equipment, and adequate stock levels.
  • .Accurately entering patient information and lab test orders into the Laboratory Information System.
  • .Identifying and correcting missing or inaccurate information on lab requisitions.
  • .Coordinating with clients, colleagues, and management to ensure smooth lab operations.
  • .Rotating across different lab locations or shifts as required.

What Are We Looking For?

  • .Prior experience in a laboratory or data entry role is an advantage.
  • .Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
  • .Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry systems.
  • .Ability to handle specimens and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • .Responsible, well-organized, and able to multitask effectively.
  • .Willing to be rotated to other lab locations or shifts when required.
