As Manager, Business Strategy, the incumbent is expected to study market trends, conditions, regulations, customers to inform Company’s decisions on business strategies. Based on market research, the incumbent shall provide key insights and recommendations to leverage opportunities and coordinate strategies aimed at assisting the company in reaching its goals.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

 

Market Intelligence

~ Perform market research to identify areas of interest, iterate on key findings and communicate market insights.

~ Evaluate key policy and industry shifts in existing and new business space to identify emerging trends, opportunities, threats and distil relevant implications to the company.

~ Analyse competitors’ activities to determine the best strategies for increasing market share or generating new business opportunities.

~ Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas and business partnerships.


Business Strategies

~ Develop long term business strategies and priorities in pursuing new opportunities in growth areas, new and existing markets.

~ Identify areas of capability building to strengthen YRI’s current and future competitive advantages.

~ Working with management to develop policies, strategies, and plans to ensure that business objectives are achieved.

~ Annual Business Planning

~ Support Business Group’s annual business planning process


Key Requirements

~ Development of business plans and strategies

~ Conduct research and data analysis

~ Project management

 

Other Requirements

~ Good tertiary education.

~ A degree in Business or Economics is preferred.

~ Possess at least 3 years of working experience.

~ Strong business writing and business reasoning

~ Strong communication and critical thinking skills.

~ Ability to work independently.
