Manager
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient and effective management of design activities on tenders and projects to ensure that all design requirements of the contract are fulfilled
- Ensure compliance with legal and other requirements, including standards and codes of practice, relating to the design
- To oversee and supervise existing design team
- Ensure design process and submissions comply with statutory regulations and requirements
- Responsible to provide a fully functional structural system, analysis and calculations to fulfil adequate structural integrity and accuracy of the design
- Must be able to lead, manage and check all kinds of design drawings by members
- Coordination with relevant departments during the Design stage
- Ensure that all technical/detailed drawings are compliant with the relevant codes and/or regulatory requirements
- Ensure that all drawings must be done with constructability to site requirements, be practical, easy to understand, able to meet clients expectations and good profitability for the Company
- To provide evaluation/findings and project results to HQ Tokyo in Japan on a frequent basis
Requirements:
- Degree/Masters in Architecture/Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 12 years of working experience in the related field
- Proficient in Software such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
- Able to lead a team
- Fluency in spoken and written Japanese is necessary as the incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate with counterparts in Japan, Tokyo Head Office such as monthly progress reports
- Ability to prioritize tasks well and able to work independently
- Required to be resourceful, pay attention to details and has good communication skills
