Key Duties & Responsibilities:

~ Coordinate shipments with transportation providers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics partners to ensure quality and timely delivery.

~ Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to secure timely deliveries and meet operational KPIs.

~ Provide regular status updates on domestic and international shipments to support both internal teams and external customers.

~ Collaborate with finance, business partners, freight forwarders, and 3PLs for accurate shipment arrangements, documentation, cargo release, and final deliveries.

~ Work closely with freight and ocean forwarders to schedule shipments, track statuses, and ensure timely delivery.

~ Collect, analyze, and report logistics data; collaborate with stakeholders to improve metrics/KPIs for efficient logistics management.

~ Conduct monthly analyses of shipping data and report findings to management for informed decision-making.

~ Perform trend analysis to identify corrective actions needed; drive implementation of improvements based on findings.

~ Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing daily operations within the logistics framework.

~ Manage the freight bidding process by preparing RFQs, analyzing bids from carriers/providers, negotiating rates, and selecting cost-effective transportation solutions.

~ Lead logistics project activities through Business Process Reengineering (BPR) initiatives to achieve organizational goals in collaboration with SP1094 on logistics projects.

~ Facilitate collaborative logistics activities by coordinating meetings among Asian factories to encourage information sharing, process improvement, and innovation.

~ Drive a culture of continuous improvement in logistics practices across factory locations in Asia while fostering creativity.

~ Ensure the accuracy of product HS Codes and tariff descriptions by utilizing Japan's HS codes as a reference point; collaborate with Sales and Regional management for necessary updates or changes.

~ Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements related to shipping practices.

 

Ability / Competency Required:

~ Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams and external partners.

~ Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.

~ Prefer 2-3 years of logistics experience in Logistics or supply chain, preferably in manufacturing sector.

~ Analytical Thinking: Capability to analyze data related to logistics operations for informed decision-making.

~ Problem-solving skills: Aptitude for identifying issues quickly and developing effective solutions.

~ Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in documentation and processes.

~ Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

~ Negotiation Skills: Experience in negotiating rates with carriers and service providers.

~ Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.

~ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required.

~ Knowledge of DX/BPR/RPA Systems: Familiarity with these systems is advantageous.

~ Understanding of Regulatory Requirements: Knowledge of customs regulations, shipping laws, and compliance standards relevant to logistics operations.

~ Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust strategies based on changing business needs or market conditions.
