-To collect and evaluate all current and relevant information on market -trends, customers and competitors;
-To create sales and action plans for the relevant area;
-To develop, expand and maintain the sales channels for his or her area through direct customer contact, via agents and within the Sulzer organization;
-To advise the Regional Head of Sales on market volume, sales budget and the ways of working the market.
-To identify opportunities to sell the entire service/product portfolio according to the sales plan;
-To introduce existing and new services/products to his or her area;
-To report planned sales activities in his or her area (including visit plan, seminars, etc.);
-To develop and manage the (potential) clientele and the acquisition activities required for this;
-To assist & manage creating appropriate quotes;
-To draft suitable, profitable contracts by making arrangements with customers on delivery, quality, (export) regulations, payment terms, etc., taking into account the rules and/or specific requirements for certain countries and/or customers;
-To ensure that drafted contracts are observed both internally and externally;
-To create the order intake plan (in consultation with agents where applicable);
-To manage his or her agents (if applicable) including contracts, due & expiry dates.
-To plan and implement PR activities for (potential) customers, sales channels/agents, user groups, fairs, conferences and the internal organization (including customer training);
-To act as a reporting, mediating and/or problem-solving entity between the customer, agent and internal organization in order to prevent escalation and/or claims;
-To make improvement proposals for (new) products and/or services.
-Maintaining all account, contact and opportunity data on Salesforce.com to ensure maximum levels of accuracy at all times.
Responsibilities:
-Achieving the sales plan in his or her area both with regard to order intake, gross margin and sales;
-Providing appropriate quotes and concluding suitable contracts;
-Introducing existing services/products to new market areas and introducing new services/products to existing market areas;
-Transferring new contracts to the internal organization with support of the relevant departments organizing the kick-off meetings.
