– Design Consultation: Engage with commissioning clients to understand their needs, discuss a range of options, and formulate unique design ideas.
– Sketching and CAD: Use skills in hand-drawing and computer-aided design (CAD) software to create preliminary sketches and detailed designs, helping clients visualize the final product.
– Software Proficiency: Design and modify jewellery using industry-standard software such as Matrix, Rhino, and ZBrush.
– Market Research: Regularly consult with galleries, store buyers, and suppliers; research current trends in jewellery and fashion to stay ahead in the market.
– Project Management: Oversee projects from concept through to completion, ensuring designs meet client expectations and deadlines.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience in jewelry design; a portfolio of recent works is required.
– Expertise in Matrix or Rhino is required; familiarity with ZBrush is advantageous.
– Diploma/Degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
