KEY ACCOUNTABILITY (Main purpose of this job):

The Examinations & Assessment Officer coordinates and administers school wide academic assessments and surveys, and supports teachers and administrators in accessing data to inform teaching and learning.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES (Key areas of responsibility):

General Responsibilities

~ Collaborate with divisions to successfully administer academic assessments

~ Create and maintain assessment data reports

~ Liaise with testing organizations, renew annual contracts, ensure testing instructions are current and manage user accounts

~ Coordinate administration and sharing of results for Student Perception and Student Pulse surveys

 

Specific Responsibilities

MAP (August-Sept, Jan-Feb, April-May)

~ Administer and proctor MAP assessments twice a year for grade 1-10 in August-Sept and April-May

~ Administer and proctor MAP assessment for new students in January-February

~ Create accurate data rosters for upload to NWEA in preparation for MAP testing

~ Maintain NWEA records for staff and students

~ Liaise with division administrators to create testing schedules (including invigilators), invigilator training, and determine testing locations

~ Collaborate with Data Analyst to create data visualization/reports

~ Distribute student MAP reports following each test window through ManageBac

~ Provide training to teachers regarding MAP testing and reporting

~ Assist with parent presentations

CAT4

~ Administer and proctor CAT4 assessments

~ Liaise with division administrators to create testing schedules (including invigilators), invigilator training, and determine testing locations

~ Collaborate with Data Analyst to create data visualizations/reports and support interpretation.

~ Distribute reports

~ set up exam venue prior to the start of each exam session and securely store remaining exam materials after

~ invigilate exams as needed

~ liaise with the secondary office to courier exams at the end of the day.

Chinese Language Testing (Dec & Mar, School holidays)

~ AAPPL/YCT/HSK

~ Coordinate with the examination center for exam registration

~ Book exam venues and organize seating plan for students

~ Print exam results and certificates, and be responsible for uploading the results to the school system.

~ Be responsible for conducting placement assessments for new native speaking students during school holidays.

Other Externally Benchmark Assessment (e.g. STAMP, WIDA)

~ Set up testing using the various tools provided by external assessment providers

~ Determine and schedule appropriate testing venues and resources

~ Create student rosters as needed

~ Provide necessary reporting as determined by department administering the assessment
